Crash Course Intermediate Digital Photography is for photographers that have a basic understanding of photography and their cameras and want to take their craft to the next level.
This two day class will quickly review the most important basics before progressing into a more advanced discussion on exposure management, focus strategy and composition. Day one will end with a field trip to a nearby location for some field shooting. Students will be given a shooting assignment where they will apply techniques learned in the classroom with their own vision.
On day two, the class will begin with a basic tour of Adobe’s Lightroom where all the students will download, edit and develop their images. Lectures on the second day will include Flash, Advanced Multi-shot techniques as well as discussion on what makes a great photograph. The day will end with a student slide show and review of the best work from the field trip.
- Exposure - Meters, ISOs, histograms and getting the right exposure.
- Focus - The ins and outs of achieving the best focus possible.
- Composition - Making it more that just a good photo.
- Shooting Field Trip - Travel to a local destination for real field work.
- Lightroom - Hands on learning secession with Adobe Lightroom includes the basics of downloading, editing & optimizing
- Student Slide Show - End with a bang, a slideshow of the best work from the weekend.
