Alpine Vista, Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. By mid-summer, the snow has retreated from the high open meadows that have made the Rocky Mountain National Park famous. It is then that the alpine flowers such as forget-me-nots, subalpine buttercups and moss champion, flourish.
