Aboriginal bunggul dance, Galiwin’ku / Elcho Island, Arnhemland, Australia (September 2007)
Aboriginal art and ceremony evoke the connection between the people and the Dreamtime, or The Dreaming. For many, these are not just ancient works of art or rituals of the past, but living and sacred expressions of who they are in a rapidly changing world.
During the filming of Art Wolfe’s Travels to the Edge, we were fortunate to obtain permission to witness an ancient Aboriginal bunggul dance emblematic of the connection between the region’s first people and Dreamtime. It is a way to pass on ancient stories to the next generation and is as timeless as the people themselves.

Art has carefully chosen a select group of images for his Ultra Limited Edition Fine Art Collection. Only 25 total prints will be made of this image. They are printed on a suitable EPSON archival paper using archival EPSON Ultrachrome inks. Art signs the print with a silver acid-free pen.
