Adolescent elephant seals are exceptionally engaging subjects. Elephant seals are found on many sub-antarctic islands such as South Georgia, as well as along parts of the Argentine coast. While the island supports limited vegetation and terrestrial life (75 percent of the island is under snow and ice), marine life is abundant.
